Reasonable questions.
Is my CAD private?
Yes. Files are stored in Northlayers’ Supabase Storage with row-level security scoped to your account. Only you and a named Northlayers engineer (for support purposes) can read them. CAD is never shared with third parties or used to train models.
What happens if I cancel?
Cancel any time from your billing page. Your library stays accessible read-only for 30 days after cancellation so you can re-download files or resubscribe without losing anything. After 30 days the CAD is permanently deleted.
How does "free shipping" work for international addresses?
Free shipping covers Canada. International addresses (US, EU, etc.) pay actual carrier rates at checkout — we don’t mark up. Expedited production still applies regardless of destination.
Can I upgrade an order from my library mid-flight?
On reorder, the saved config is pre-filled but every field is editable in the same /quote flow. Override quantity, change material, swap finish — the saved version stays untouched in your library.
Why $10? Other subscription printers are way more.
Because the math is "shipping saved + one less engineering re-quote per month." We’d rather charge enough to keep the perks honest than enough to compete with software SaaS pricing.
Do subscriptions cover quotes that need engineering review?
Quote review stays free for everyone — that’s part of how Northlayers operates. Subscribers just get faster turnaround on the review itself, and the same engineer every time so they already know your parts.
